It was a lot easier to write flip, slick and easy stuff a few years ago. There was that assurance of someone who hasn’t really been tested by the great moments of life. Okay, I had been through a few years of hell, emotionally kicked like a big red utility ball in the dodge ball game of life, back in my 20’s. I think that is the time to go through that sort of thing, however. It means when it happens again, I’ll be prepared or at least familiar with the feeling. Kinda like getting a terrible hangover and remembering this is why you stopped drinking the last time. ‘
I don’t drink anymore.
Not because I learned it was the only way to avoid hangovers, mind you. It’s so hard to remember how crappy you’re gonna feel the next day when you’re feeling so great as the glow really gets going.
It was fun. A lot of things were fun, once.
I’m pretty sure it will be again.
Actually, I’m having a lot more fun than you’d think by reading most of my blogs. I dunno why.
