And here we are again, baby…

I still haven’t quite got back into a routine since the gross leg thing from 2 weeks ago and the Never Growing Old Meet Me On Monday blog hop is great for the wee bit of a push I need. So, here we go again.

Questions:

1.  What is your favorite food?
2.  What color scheme is your bedroom?
3.  Do you carry a donor card?
4.  In your opinion, is the glass half empty or half full?
5.  Vanilla or Chocolate?

Answers:

1.  What is your favorite food? Yes.        Oh, I have to choose?  Well, being a prairie girl I have a certain fondness for beef. Steak or roast, just so long as it’s on the rare side. Really rare. Blue, in fact. Disgusting, I know, but I can’t help it.

Could I kill a cow in order to eat? As I have said many times in the past, were I to find myself lost for weeks in the woods, cold and starving, I am quite aware of my ignorance regarding which flora are safe to eat and which will result in a painful, protracted regret-filled death. I am also confident that fuzzy Mr. Peter Cottontail hopping down the bunny trail, while cute, is perfectly safe to eat. Safe beats cute (with a rock) every time. A cow is easier to catch but there is a trade off in terms of ease of dispatch. When hungry enough, however, I’m pretty sure I can rise to the challenge.

2.  What color scheme is your bedroom? Well, I am not exactly Martha when it comes to home decorating….I would have to say the bedroom is ‘best intentions’ original wallpaper and ‘I think it was once a brown rug’ motif. More optimistically you could call it ‘maybe someday we can afford to remodel’ green.

3.  Do you carry a donor card? In BC our organ donor status is tied to our BC health care card. Any resident of British Columbia can check their status as a registered donor at the BC Transplant Society webpage by entering their Care Card Number. If you’re not registered, you can sign up right there. Great idea. It was originally part of the BC drivers license program but now it runs this way…a little less confusion and a lot of piece of mind.

On the positive side, it's the E&N railway...

4.  In your opinion, is the glass half empty or half full? If I’m thirsty, it gets all empty pretty fast but that isn’t always a bad thing. Usually, in the spirit of the question, I am an optimist and try to look at what I’ve got, if only to take my mind off  all the ways life may be totally sucking at the time.

5.  Vanilla or Chocolate? mmmmm, milk chocolate but, honestly, there are times when I simply don’t feel like wrapping my taste buds in the flavour duvet of chocolate. I like vanilla. I like the smell of it – sometimes will put a little extract behind my ears as a perfume. It works, honest, and is never overpowering. And even chocolate needs vanilla to really sing in any recipe.

That’s it for today. Have a good week.
