A brown christmas in Edmonton

Considering it’s a northern city and my memories of Christmasses in childhood past are of snow drifts and sub-sub zero temperatures, it is a bit of a rip to drive all the way out here from Victoria to see the last of the snow wallowing in pockets of brown grass. Oh well. I could be fatalistic and talk about how the last time Edmonton had a brown Christmas was also when the family made a trek out here.
It will be an interesting time, anyway. This is the first Christmas for my sister and I since our mom died and that means both of them are gone now. I have my in-laws in Victoria so I still have one set of parents to go (technically) but my sister isn’t married or even a significant other.
Ho Ho Ho, time to go.
