How to laugh in church

I’ve used this clip before, in last year’s A-Z challenge but it was sort of an add on and I think it deserves a place of it’s own. Besides, as this is the Easter season it is one of the hymns most commonly heard round about now.

As I mentioned before, I used this as the processional hymn for my father’s funeral. He was an actor and fond of big entrances so this, blasting out on a pipe organ with a few hundred voices chiming in on the refrain, is just about as rousing as you can get.

This is a bit irreverent but I’m pretty sure there is a lot of laughter in heaven so it works for me too. Anyway, here is Mr. Bean singing my favorite hymn…

(A side note to my American friends, apparently this is being blocked on the south bound land of the internet but I’m sure if you search your service provider you’ll be able to find it. It may be listed under “Mr. Bean Hallelujah” or “Mr. Bean The Church” . I don’t know why I didn’t expect this, in Canada we’ve been dealing with clips blocked coming north bound because they’re on Hulu. )
