my first angry letter to the editor

About my column, that is. I don’t usually write angry letters myself. This was a pretty good one in terms of irrational cranky pants kinda stuff. Criticized my style as being folksy, cute and befuddled. That there was a lack of logic because the headline to the column didn’t make any sense…which I agree with and still don’t know what Vern was trying to do but that part was a bit of a sting just because I have nothing to do with the headline that goes over the column…And then a parting shot about why does the paper subject it’s readers to my sophomoric drivel. Not bad. Not quite pure vitriol and, considering it was a tongue in cheek column supporting two of the more unpopular causes in the community – sewage treatment plant and a high voltage power line buried under Lampson Street – it could have been a lot worse. No bricks through the windows or threatening phone calls.
Yeah, I guess I got off easy this time. And now I have to evict the cranky tenant from my head and go get some sleep.
