I guess they’re like salt peanuts…

Another Monday and another hop from Java at Never Growing Old and one of the questions is from me…wow…a pose worthy of  Nietzsche or Aristotle?…ah, yeah, right. If they wore socks.

Questions:

1.  What is your favorite yogurt flavor?
2.  Ankle or knee socks? and on the same theme, white socks or coloured??
3.  How is the weather right now?
4.  Are you a fast typer?
5.  Red or White Wine?

Answers:

1.  What is your favorite yogurt flavor? Peach. No question. Unless in Greece, then plain with honey…but that is heaven and we cannot live there for long, not just yet and especially not at 10-15% butterfat.

2.  Ankle or knee socks? and on the same theme, white socks or coloured??     Knee socks…I have reached that stage in life where socks come in 3 colours, black, white and ‘nude’ which isn’t at all. They are not for fashion but support. This is what comes of a life spent partially in the restaurant industry where only a few owners are willing to part with the coin to install ‘shock mats’. Of course not being unionized, for the most part, also young and bound to live forever, most cafe/rest. workers don’t realize the long term damage they are inflicting on their legs.  I sure as hell didn’t.

3.  How is the weather right now? Gorgeous: spring has finally arrived and this is a part of the world where it supposedly never leaves. We are hoping to have summer sometime this year, preferrably before Halloween. But no one is placing money it.

Blueberries, strawberries and just about all the fruit we usually roll about in right about now will be late, if at all because, apparently, bees don’t come out to play if it’s cold. Who knew?

4.  Are you a fast typer? I learned to type on a manual Remington back in the days when electricity was still be used to execute rogue elephants.  I remember when an IBM Selectric came into an office where I was working as a temp. Which commandment covers coveting? Yeah, well, there was a heck of a lot of that and plans for bodily harm in order to acquire said technical marvel. I’m sure there’s a commandment for that too.

How many of the plots were mine? Well, I did say I was there as a temp so I was already pretty much occupied with plans of wreaking havoc on my last day that never seemed to get closer.

So, yes, I am a fast typer on these new fangled computer keyboards…even manage to be accurate more often than not.

5.  Red or White Wine? For reasons I’m not going to delve into right now, while I love both red and white wines, I only taste other peoples and stick to root beer for myself. I always was a cheap date and am haunted by many foggy memories due to continuing to deny the obvious.

Well, that should be just about it for today. Thanks for stopping by, now get out and enjoy the rest of the day.
