As good a day as any to start the week…

Monday works so well for that…

Questions:

1.  What feature of the opposite sex do you notice first?
2.  Do you talk to yourself?
3.  What is your current relationship status?
4.  Do you have a garden?
5.  What is your favorite licorice flavor?

Answers:

1.  What feature of the opposite sex do you notice first? Yes, it’s corny I know but, honestly, it’s the smile. Mostly to see if it happens easily and often. I don’t want to keep company with someone – male or female – who can’t laugh at themselves and the world around them. The goofy Denis Quaid smile wins out over the crazy Randy Quaid smile any day. In fact, of all the easy going, smiling happy guy sort of smiles, it is that sort of sideways, aw gosh, kinda grin wins me over every time. Just a bit of the bad boy, of course, but not too much.

2.  Do you talk to yourself? Who else will take me seriously?

3.  What is your current relationship status? Married with 2 young adult daughters still living at home. See answer to #2.

4.  Do you have a garden? The flower beds and raised bed in the back yard have been neglected over the past few years, for a variety of reasons. My youngest daughter decided this year it would be an interesting experiment to grow veggies once again so yes, I have a garden. The best part is I don’t have to do the work in it. I never was a hands in dirt kinda person…I enjoy it but the back breaking bending and yarding on weeds all the time holds even fewer charms for me these days. And everything in this part of the world grows…it is hard to tell what a weed and what is supposed to be there so, I’ll just leave that all up to the experts and tend to my inside labours of love.

5.  What is your favorite licorice flavor? Strawberry twizzlers are still my go-to for a straw when drinking root beer but that doesn’t happen so much now that I’m over 14…and I still have a fondness for black licorice. But not Dutch…I cannot reconcile myself to salt and licorice at the same time….bleccchhh.  So, I’ll have to go with the strawberry twizzlers. Which isn’t really licorice at all but passes for it when the movie starts.
