my blogs seem to be showing a great deal of similarity – a depressing chorus of oh what a terrible thing this all too solid flesh can be when it sets to melting and dissolving itself into adieu…and such a slow process too. Age. I guess it makes a nice change from sex and romance in terms of the vast majority of popular writing these days. I should be exploring ambition, greed, the unbridled pursuit of power that used to be the good old themes of the classics. Mind you most of the plays of Shakespeare and Marlow were based historical works. Could this mean the reality is we are motivated by these rather unappealing desires and not by the lust and romance of most modern creative fiction?
